Interventions

Using music, creativity, and mentoring to support emotional development, engagement, and positive change in learning and behaviour.

We deliver structured, music-based SEMH, ASN, and behaviour interventions designed to support children and young people who are experiencing barriers to learning, engagement, wellbeing, or positive participation in education.

Our programmes use music, creativity, and relational mentoring as consistent and evidence-informed delivery methods to support emotional regulation, behaviour stability, and re-engagement with learning. Rather than positioning music as an outcome, we use it as a structured tool for intervention, communication, and behavioural change.

These interventions are designed for pupils who may be at risk of exclusion, disengagement, or reduced participation in education and who require a more personal and relational approach than standard pastoral or classroom-based support systems.

Through our creative mentoring model, we deliver structured interventions that incorporate music-led engagement alongside targeted relational support. This enables young people to:

  • develop emotional regulation and self-management strategies

  • improve engagement with learning and school routines

  • build confidence, identity, and self-awareness

  • strengthen communication, trust, and relationships with adults

  • make more positive behavioural and life choices

Our approach supports both the SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health) and ASN (additional support needs) frameworks, ensuring alignment with a wide range of educational and inclusion systems across different regions.

Many of the young people we support have experienced challenges within traditional educational environments, including disengagement from learning, difficulties with emotional regulation, attendance concerns, or breakdowns in trusted relationships with school systems or professionals.

Our intervention model provides a structured space to build trust, observe patterns of behaviour and engagement, and develop a deeper understanding of the factors impacting each young person’s experience in education.

We use this insight to inform individualised intervention planning, ensuring that our support is responsive, relational, and outcomes-focused.

Our programmes are designed to complement existing school-based pastoral, inclusion, and wellbeing systems by providing a specialist intervention layer that supports:

  • reduced behavioural escalation and improved self-regulation

  • increased engagement and participation in learning

  • improved attendance and connection to education

  • strengthened emotional resilience and wellbeing

  • reduced risk of exclusion or sustained disengagement

  • successful reintegration into mainstream learning environments

We operate as a specialist intervention partner working alongside schools, local authorities, and educational settings to support pupils with complex or emerging needs.

Our work is integrated into existing provision and is designed to strengthen whole-school approaches to behaviour, inclusion, and wellbeing through structured, music-based intervention delivery.
