Fearless Futures

Girls’ Behaviour, Engagement & Wellbeing Intervention Through Music
IMG_6438.JPG

Fearless Futures provides structured 1:1 and small-group interventions, specifically for girls, that use music, creative expression, and mentoring as a therapeutic engagement tool to support positive behaviour change and emotional development.

The programme focuses on:

  • improving emotional regulation and self-awareness

  • building confidence, self-worth, and positive identity

  • supporting healthy relationships and decision-making

  • increasing engagement in learning and school life

  • reducing risk factors linked to disengagement or exclusion

  • Through consistent mentoring and creative music-based sessions, we support girls to develop the tools they need to stabilise behaviour, re-engage with education, and move forward with greater resilience.

This intervention is not focused on making music in a traditional recording studio sense. Instead, it harnesses trauma-informed techniques using various aspects of music and creativity as tools to project, process, and redirect behaviours that may be leading pupils down the wrong path.

Through structured, practitioner-led activities, we support young people to:

  • safely express underlying emotions

  • understand behavioural triggers

  • develop healthier coping strategies

  • and replace negative patterns with new habits and techniques that support growth

HOW IT WORKS (INTERVENTION MODEL)

6–12 Week Targeted Intervention Cycles

Each programme includes:

  • identification of target cohort in collaboration with school staff

  • baseline understanding of behaviour, engagement, and needs

  • weekly structured 1:1 or small-group sessions

  • mentoring supported through music-based activities

  • ongoing communication with pastoral and safeguarding leads

  • end-of-cycle impact review and recommendation

The programme is designed to integrate seamlessly with existing behaviour, inclusion, and pastoral systems.

 IMPACT FOR SCHOOLS

Fearless Futures supports schools to achieve key priorities linked to Pupil Premium, behaviour,

and safeguarding outcomes, including:

  • reduced behaviour incidents and emotional escalation

  • improved engagement and participation in learning

  • increased attendance in targeted pupils

  • strengthened emotional regulation and resilience

  • improved reintegration into mainstream classroom environments

  • reduced pressure on pastoral and inclusion teams

The programme is designed as a targeted, outcomes-focused intervention supporting schools in

evidencing impact for disadvantaged and vulnerable learners.
